Switcheroo

CROPPED NOVEMBER 2012 PROFILE PICTURE

I do not want to be conned, duped or hoodwinked. It would be a crying shame to fall prey to heresy. Some out there have done the switcheroo and I must remain alert. Satan is always up to his tricks, trying to play with my mind. The Prophet Isaiah, speaking to his generation, could have just as accurately assessed our society. The people were adept at switcheroo.

People are prone to pervert truth. God does not ignore the distortion. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness, who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own opinion and clever in their own sight (Isaiah 5:20-21 HCS).”

“Woe is me,” if I start believing what is untrue. Shame on me, if I neglect to back up my beliefs with truth found in Scripture. The Holy Spirit is the source of discernment. He sends off a silent alarm when lies are peddled, enabling me to accurately assess the message. Parents dogmatically tell their children “Don’t believe everything you hear!”  Woe to all who believe the switcheroo.
